this is a two-week permaculture course designed to educate & enable you to have a deeper understanding of permaculture, its principles and how to effective apply them in real-world scenarios. check out their official brochure or video for more info on the course itself.
as im learning about permaculture and the ways i hope to integrate it into balvida it's become pretty apparent to me that beyond my romantic desires to stroll thru a lush, edible garden, permaculture's connected and sustainable principles are ones that resonate deeply with life, abundance, regeneration and of course, balance -- one i hope to honor at balvida with the restoration of the land itself from stripped, overgrazed land to a thriving, diverse ecosystem that is in alignment with the people, plants, and wildlife there.
getting more women this information and training will help spread and integrate these ideals even further, and if nothing else i bet it'll be a really fucking cool experience. i havent had a chance to participate in the course myself yet but rancho mastatal comes recommended to me by balvida's permaculture team @ la herbaria, so i expect it will be as enlightening as working with amanda and juanpa has been already :)
for this month there'll be 1 spanish-speaking sponsorship (reserved for a costa rican woman) + 1 english (not limited to costa rican) for a total of 2 spots, but i'm hopeful this small step will reflect back in abundance and there will be more in the future. there'll be diff giveaways and sponsored opportunities throughout the year, so subscribe if you wanna be notified of upcoming ones.
